Après la publication du rapport de la CIRC, le monde du cyclisme a-t-il ouvert les yeux ? A voir la façon calamiteuse dont l'UCI a géré l'affaire Astana, rien n'est moins sûr. D'ailleurs, pour ce Giro, le nombre de participants impliqués par le passé dans des affaires de dopage (12,1%) est strictement identique à celui de l'année précédente.

Dès avant les premiers coups de pédale, George Benett, coureur de la Lotto-NL, est écarté en raison d'un taux de cortisol effondré. Mauvais présage ?

Et à la fin, c'est Alberto Contador. Une vieille connaissance.
